    Microblading

How long does this microblading procedure last ?

This varies from person to person and a colour refresh is recommended on average from 12-18 months after your initial microblading procedure.

How long does it take ?

Investing an hour or two of your time can make you beautiful for years to come. The procedure is split into 2 appointments, which are 4-6 weeks apart to allow for the healing process to complete. The initial procedure will take from 60 to 90 minutes, and your second appointment takes from 30-60 minutes.

    Does the application hurt ?

We take every precaution necessary to ensure the micro-pigmentation application is as pain free as possible. A range of medical grade anaesthetics are used for your comfort. Some clients find the procedure a little uncomfortable, whereas other clients report no discomfort at all. A combination of 2 anaesthetics are used, first a topical numbing cream and then a local anaesthetic is introduced once the microblading procedure has started. This is topped up regularly during the treatment to keep you comfortable.

How long is recovery or healing time ?

You do not have to hide from the world until you are healed. Many clients can walk right out the door, ready to show off their new brows. Initially stronger in colour, your new brows will soften to a natural looking and beautiful colour in two to three weeks.

When will I see the final results ?

A noticeable difference will be readily apparent immediately following the microblading procedure. You will see your final results after the healing process is fully completed, usually in four to six weeks.

How do you choose the shape and colour?

We choose a shape and style together. At the beginning of the microblading procedure, we will draw in a suggested shape for your new brows and then we work together to perfect this to your preference and measurements are taken to check symmetry and position. We choose a colour together by applying small amounts of different coloured pigments to the skin near to your brows and selecting the best match for your skin tone, features and personal preference.

What types of pigments do you use ?

Cosmetics and medical tattooing have been proven to be safe. Many medical professionals, who perform their own tattooing, use the same pigments that we use. People have been placing colour in their skins for a very long time and through the years a generally accepted list of colour additives, which are expected to perform well, have proven to be safe. The FDA does not regulate the colours that are used in tattooing nor do they regulate colours used in cosmetics. Our supplier’s ingredients for our inorganic pigments are iron oxides, distilled water, alcohol, glycerine and general colours that are found in all retail makeup.

What will they look like immediately after the procedure and will they fade ?

Your brows may be a little swollen, red and sometimes a bit white. This is all very normal. They will be considerably darker for the first week, before they begin to fade out to a softer colour. Your body’s skin changes over time and so will any permanent makeup coloration implanted in to the skins layers. However, this natural fading process takes years and touch ups are easily done as your colours fade over time.

Can I have my brows microbladed if I'm pregnant ?

No you cannot have this treatment done, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Will my Microbladed Eyebrows look fake ?

No! Semi-Permanent makeup is done using a cosmetic tattooing process and our eyebrow pigmentation unique artistry guarantees soft, natural looking eyebrows. When we implant semi-permanent makeup pigment in the skin, it appears more natural looking than even topically applied cosmetics.

    What if I don't like it ?

Although the procedure is considered semi-permanent, these procedures do have flexibility in changing colour and shape to some extent. Colours will appear much darker immediately following the procedure but will often soften and lighten during the healing process. The healing time is different for each individual and remember it takes time to adjust to a new look!

Are there any side effects during or after the procedure ?

During the procedure there may be some minor bleeding. This will depend on the client. If a person is taking blood thinners on a daily basis, then some slight bleeding may occur. Bruising is rare but if a person is on blood thinners, then bruising could occur. There is usually some tenderness for a few days. The colour is much darker than you may expect for the first six to ten days.

    Lash Lifts

Can I wear mascara or eye make up prior to my appointment ?

No. Remove the eye make up with non-oily cleanser or eye make up remover, ensuring lids and lashes are thoroughly cleansed and dry.

Can I wear my contact lenses in my appointment ?

    No you cannot.

Can I wear mascara after the Lash Lift ?

Yes of course! You can wear mascara 12 hours after your lash lift. We do not recommend water-proof mascara and the use of mascara remover, they tend to weaken the perm.

What should I use for cleaning my face after the Lash Lift ?

Use mild cleansers only. The daily use of stronger products tend to weaken the perm.

How long will the Lash Lift appointment take ?

About 45-75 minutes depending on how coarse your eyelashes are and if you are getting a tint as well.

Can I get an eyelash tint with the Lash Lift in the same appointment ?

Yes! During the lash lift you will have an option to include an eyelash tint as well for an additional $15.

How long will the curl last ?

The Lash Lift last will last up to 60 days.

How often can I repeat the Lash Lift ?

The eyelash curls will begin to drop gradually (one by one) after about two months. The entire lashes will take about another 2 months to return to their natural look. You can repeat the procedure after 2-3 months and not have to wait until the entire lashes return to their natural look.

Can I use my eyelash curler ?

You shouldn't need a curler but feel free to use one if you'd like.

Will I lose any of my lashes because of the Lash Lift ?

No. However, it is perfectly normal to lose one or two eyelashes daily. It happens to all of us! New eyelashes will grow in place of old ones. Actually, using the eyelash curler daily will cause the eyelashes to fall.

Does the Lash Lift hurt ?

No, it is completely painless. Some of our clients even sleep through it!

Will I have skin irritation or reaction ?

Very few people had some skin reactions, puffiness reaction or burning on their eyelids the next day. Cold compresses for few minutes will do the trick!

Can I wash my face after I get Lash Lift ?

Yes, after 12 hours of keeping the lashes dry, you can go back to your normal routine.
